Reflections of Summer

Dewy morning grass. Bright sunlight warming the trees. Blue, blue sky, filled with birds and clouds and kites.

Lush forests excited with life. Lazy hikes on muddy trails. Finding salamanders under wet logs. Breathtakingly cold streams.

Flitting hummingbirds and chirping cardinals. Happy toads in the garden. Bees abuzz.

Camping in the trees. Barefoot walks along the lake. Tire swings and energized teens. Blinking fireflies and singing crickets.

Slow time. Heavy air and sleepy humidity. Moongazing in the front yard, through a telescope, feeling wonderfully small.

Life is good in summer, there is so much that I love. What do you love about the season?

Thank you, Jasmine! I really envisioned the post as a collection of memories, I’m happy you see it that way, too!
