Pittsburgh is such an interesting city. I love that a place known for its steel and industry can boast so much beauty in nature, history, and art. Phipps Conservatory is one of these places, a living gem filled with colorful surprises. I loved exploring the gardens, especially with my camera, amazed by how beautifully grown and tended to these indoor plants are.
Places like Phipps exemplify the unity between nature and art. Nature, in itself, is filled with brushstrokes of artistic genius, it has both reason and spontaneity. Each plant individually grows in its own unique way, like an artist has a personal style. And all these individuals make up a wondrous whole.
